D&R Sports Center is one of the area’s largest retailers for hunting and fishing supplies. We stock the industry’s top brands, and provide exceptional customer service that you can’t get at big box stores.
D&R Sports Center is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan and opened its doors in 1982 when owner Randy VanDam decided to bring his dream to reality. Started by Randy and his father Dick (D&R = Dick & Randy), the store was originally located in a small storefront across the parking lot from its current location and sold mostly tackle. With plenty of family and local support, the small store began offering Firearm and Archery sales by 1986. Since then D&R Sports Center has grown to be one of the largest hunting & fishing outfitters in the area. Our most recent expansion in 2021 added an additional 9,000 square feet, which allowed us to increase our tackle selection and added a whole new section for firearms. We also added an archery shooting lane, giving customers the opportunity to try out various bows and crossbows before purchasing.
Since the very beginning our mission has been the same; Serve our customers with top-quality products, outstanding customer service and with the best value in the market. At D&R Sports Center our goal is to treat our customers and employees like part of our family. Everyone at D&R Sports Center is passionate about the outdoors and we take pride in being able to share that knowledge of the outdoors with others. D&R Sports is founded on a long history of expertise. Randy VanDam is a former State Champion Bass Angler, older brother to the bass fishing legend, Kevin VanDam and father to pro bass fisherman, Jonathon VanDam who won his first BASS Elite Series tournament in 2012.
